Spring is Coming! Spring is Coming!
With the arrival of spring just around the corner, Dr. Murphy
and Dr. McGriff would like to remind you to be safe during your
outdoor activities.

1/3 of all childhood injuries are sports-related.
3 million children, ages 14 and under, are injured annually from sports
and recreational activities.
775,000 children per year are treated in the ER for sports-related
injuries.  Most of them are a resultant of falls, collisions, overexertion, or
being struck by an object during informal sports activities.
Younger children are more likely to be hurt on bicycles or the playground.
Older children are affected by overexertion and other sports-related
injuries.

How can chiropractic care benefit your family?
Sports-related injuries may result in localized swelling; alterations in joint motion;
muscle spasm or weakness; and localized pain due to nerve injury.
Furthermore, injury leads to alterations in gait and posture, further exacerbating
the initial problem.  Chiropractic adjustments restore normal joint motion and
optimize spinal nerve function.  This reduces pain, swelling and facilitates
healing.
